— Let's Get Wild! —

let's get wild braceletTake a walk on the wild side! Let your creative muse out of its cage! In this fun half-day workshop, you'll use a variety of metalworking techniques to transform shaped blanks cut from pure copper sheet metal into a fabulous safari themed bracelet. Techniques employed in making your masterpiece include copper etching, wireworking, metal forming and finishing with a deep rich patina.
 

IMPORTANT: Please bring an apron or old large shirt to protect your clothing!

Recommended tools to bring to the workshop:
  • Round nose pliers
  • Flat nose pliers
  • Chain nose pliers
  • Flush or semi-flush cutters that will cut up to 12 gauge wire
  • Ball peen or chasing hammer
  • Needle files
  • 6 inch ruler
  • Soft tape measure
  • Steel bench block
  • Sharpie® or other indelible pen
  • Hand towel
  • Polishing cloth
  • #000 Fine steel wool
  • Protective clothing such as a full apron. Cloth or plastic varieties work great.
  • Safety glasses
  • Rubber stamps (optional)
A MATERIALS FEE includes the necessary copper and etching supplies.

A variety of tools will be available for purchase.

Your workshop fee includes a complete written take-home tutorial with photos.

Basic wire working skills recommended but all skill levels are welcome.
