Originally found in the royal tombs of ancient Egypt and dating back some 3,000 years, the timeless Egyptian Coil is still popular in today's jewelry. In this fun half day workshop we will uncover the secret of making this complicated looking yet amazingly simple link with which you will then create a beautiful bracelet in pure copper. You'll also learn the basic technique of adding a patina to give depth and richness to your finished design.
Recommended tools to bring to the workshop:
Copper wire for learning and practicing with, and liver-of-sulfur for adding a patina will be provided for you in the class at no charge.
Some tools will be available to borrow; however, I highly recommend bringing your own tools if you have them. I typically have quality tools available for purchase.
Your workshop fee includes a complete written take-home tutorial with photos.
Basic wire working skills recommended but all skill levels are welcome.
