Happy New Year!

Wow! 2008! Wishing you all a very happy New Year and I hope you all enjoyed the holidays! We went to San Diego, CA for a family get together for Christmas. We couldn't have asked for better weather....it was glorious! Yep, I do miss that California weather, especially when it's 100 degrees with 100% humidity in Florida and no rain in sight.

At our 16 year old daughter's insistence we did the tourist routine and took her to Orange County (think the TV show "The OC"), places like Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, etc. and, of course, Los Angeles. Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Mulholland Drive and the Santa Monica Pier. It was a fun trip!

The morning after our arrival back home Chelsea took a tumble down the stairs, breaking her right ankle....her driving leg! After undergoing surgery, she now sports 6 screws and a long plate in her leg and is laid up for probably 6-8 weeks. Poor thing....actually, poor parents!

I haven't had much time to sit at the bench and create jewelry (sigh...). On an exciting note, I'm featured in the Jan/Feb issue of the duPont Registry Tampa Bay Magazine. I had a very successful show at the Dunedin Fine Art Center's Ever Present holiday event! Thank you to all those patrons who supported the event (and purchased my pieces).

I did manage this week to make a new wiredoodle bracelet in Sterling silver which is currently available on eBay auction. Here's a pic (which links to the auction).
